Affiliate marketing like I described in my previous post on business ideas , is one of the major ways you may want to earn money as a self employed individual in 2015..

Affiliate marketing is a type of marketing that involves you selling other people's product or services and get paid a commission. There are many ways affiliate marketing works but in order to make the best of it, you need to make sure that the following conditions are met:

1. The company should be very credible. You don't want to commit yourself to promoting and sending traffic to other people's products and at the end of the day they don't get to pay you for your efforts
2. That they have enough products and services for you to promote
3. That the pay good commissions
4. They pay regularly too!
5. They offer good back office support
6. They have good promotional materials for you to use in promoting their services and products

If the company meets most of the criteria above, they may just be the company to deal with. There are so many ways you can promote your affiliate products. A few include:

1. The use of Email marketing: If you have a large repository of email addresses in your immediate environment, you can employ this to your advantage. All you need to do is plug the link for your affiliate product to a promotional sales email address and forward same to your potential customers. Make sure the email has a call to action that will invite them to click your link
2. You can have a very functional blog and post the banners and other promotional materials from the affiliate company on it. This is a sure way to attract people to the products you are helping to promote
3. You can also use the social media like Facebook, Googleplus. twitter. Pinterest, and Instagram to mention a few.
